Old-ish rock climbing photos

Here are a few random climbing shots from years past. All of these were taken on slide film with the exception of the two pictures that I'm in (which were taken by Kevin Quaderer). The large photo on the right is the first photo that I ever got published. It appeared in the Summer 2007 Backcountry.com catalog.

My first good photo

This is a picture I took of my good friend Matt Koch when we got snowed out during a day of climbing at Smith Rocks. It was the first good photo I ever took and the shot that really got me interested in photography.

Why have the blog?

After each trip, the friends who were on it would ask if they could see the photos I took. For a while I'd send out massive e-mails that would take ten damn minutes to download. That didn't work. Then I set up a section on my gallery, but it was too buried in my site and friends couldn't find their shots. Finally, I settled on doing it this way: one post with the days' photos and a quick blurb about what went down. This way my friends can find the photos of themselves and I have a good excuse to take pictures on each trip (which keeps me from getting lazy.)
