This season has been marked by over-promising and under-delivering storms, so it felt pretty damn good to call the Utah Avalanche Center this morning and hear Bruce say that there was 17-inches of new snow at the top of Little with more on the way. I picked up Jamon at 6:00, and we went into BCC to do a couple laps in USA bowl. The snow on top was absolutely amazing, but the mank underneath was a little on the hard side (read: concrete). Despite the dust-on-crust aspect of the day, it was a damn nice to finally get a few face shots instead of just trying to remember what they feel like. It was definitely the first and only day so far this year where I was actually wishing for bigger skis.
