Well, I promised Jesse that I would not ride anything the required a big bike or a full-face helmet before going to
Alaska. He was counting on me to not get broken off right before the trip, so I stuck to my word and my new Transition TR450 frame sat in the garage gathering dust for a couple months. Now the trip is over, so today I put the finishing touches on my build. I went for durability over low weight, running all Saint components (including Alex's old crankset), a pretty stout wheelset and some burly tires, but it still came in at under 39lbs. It'll get lighter when I replace the rubber, get a different crankset and dish out for the titanium spring, but that's in the future.
p.s. bleeding Saint brakes is a bitch!
